It’s October in Blackfoot, Idaho. Your cabin sits on the banks of the Snake River that rambles though snowcapped mountains, evergreen forests and golden yellow plains. The fly fishing on this river is an 11, and being Fall means big Steelhead Trout. A challenging fish on the fly, fast and powerful. Otherwise, what’s the point, right? It’s a crisp cloudless morning with steam rising off the river, you sit in your rocker on the old wooden porch enjoying your coffee and the flow as the river dances past. Like the water, you’re a rambler, moving with the seasons for the perfect catch. As the sun glints on the moving tidal pool, you spot some tailing activity on the far bank. (tailing is when the fish eat, their dorsal fin sticks out of the water and wiggles). Quietly you slip into the cabin for your 7-weight fly rod and grab your new Rambler Vest. A hefty, waxed cotton quilted vest lined with washable natural wool and taffeta nylon and trimmed with fine corduroy. Your first cast falls short, the next double haul lands right in the honey hole, you strip lightly and BANG, fish on!! It’s going to be one of those days. Tight Lines my friend!

My Rambler Vest will see plenty of use. Its durable and warm and looks good. Now I just need to plan an adventure..yes bent poles and tight lines.

This vest covers all bases. Its good looking comfortable and just the right amount of warmth for those chilly fall days. When it gets cooler out I will layer it with my other jackets. A must for any wardrobe
