The Maverick jacket

Bush pilots fly in remote and dangerous areas of Alaska, including tundra, mountain passes, and glaciers. They transport people, supplies, mail, and medical care to small communities that are far from roads and airports. You are a bush pilot (how cool is that) flying your De Havilland Otter float plane on a mail run from Nome to Ketchikan.  It’s January and the terrain is treacherous.  Your trusty golden retriever companion, Shadow, mans the co-pilot seat. It’s cold, very cold and the Otter’s heating system is on the fritz.  To combat this, you brought along your new Maverick Jacket (‘cause you’re a maverick, right).  A sturdy super insulated waxed cotton bomber, lined with PrimaLoft® and soft flannel for warmth, with faux sherpa fleece lining the collar. It screams alpha male.   You splash down at the Ketchikan Harbor Seaplane Base, taxi and tie up to the dock and head for the bush pilot’s lounge for a cold one.  Shadow has his own bar stool; he’s happy, you’re happy.
