Originally designed for adventure racers and desert ultra-runners, the Eco-Mesh Shirt has set a new fashion and comfort standard for adventure seekers. Tens of thousands have been sold--and its popularity keeps growing among hikers, paddlers, eco-travelers, and runners. (Each fall, we receive several letters from Appalachian Trail thru-hikers who thank us for the indestructible and low-maintenance performance that the shirt delivers.) The shirt is made with super tough nylon fabric that's lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, odor-resistant, sun-blocking, and quick-drying. Side and back vents provide upper-torso ventilation and air flow. Think of this shirt as functional elegance for the outdoors; in fact, world champion adventure racer and adventure television talk show host Ian Adamson wore his Eco-Mesh Shirt at his wedding in Boulder. Fancy Eh?

This is no doubt a great shirt. I wish they would have simply changed the name of the "Majove Sun Shirt" to this echo mesh shirt while amending this shirt a little .(Instead of getting rid of the Majove Sun Shirt) The reasons are that these 2 shirts are basically the exact same materials exact same weight same ventilation etc.. The reasons I prefer the RR Majove Sun Shirt over their Echo Mesh are The large zippered pocket on the front (of the Majove Sun Shirt) is awesome for this like Cell phones or anything you need at the ready that's secured with a zipper. The echo mesh does have the pocket but it's not zippered or as large. The echo mesh Shirt also lacks the glasses pocket that the Majove Sun Shirt has.. It's amazing how much that pocket comes in handy and has saved me from losing countless pairs of glasses I hope they add one to the Echo mesh 3 shirt Another reason is the cuffs on the echo mesh shirt are elastic while the Majove Sun Shirt has simple button cuff closures. I don't Really care for the elastic cuffs on this shirt and am not really sure of their purpose... The last and final reason is I don't particularly like the quick tab neck closure. IMHO the zipper neck closure on the Majove Sun Shirt is much more user friendly and gives the shirt more versatility. I know RR is always striving for improvements and I think if they adjusted a few of these aspects on the echo mesh shirt it would be the ultimate While it's still a great shirt due to the aforementioned reasons I prefer their Majove Sun Shirt (which seems to have been retired now that they brought back the echo mesh shirt) I hope they bring back the Majove Sun Shirt or make some updates to the echo mesh I'm glad I bought a couple extras of the Majove Sun Shirt when they were having their sale.. Like people have said about their echo mesh shirts the Mojave Sun Shirts last forever too My first one is still going strong after 7 years and over 2 thousands miles on Trail (desert and mountain) PCT John Muir trail parts of the Appalachian Trail Colorado Trail and many more I've only had my echo mesh Shirt for a couple years and it too is going strong and built like a tank just like all of RR clothing I have used the echo mesh Shirt many times on hikes boating every day walks etc... It's a great Shirt much like my Majove Sun Shirts from RR. Like I said and the reason for the 4 star rating... I miss all those things mentioned about their Mojave Sun Shirt.. those that I had come to love over the years I do also have and use RR echo mesh pants which are absolutely the best hiking pants out there (again IMHO)Ultimately I've never had a bad experience with anything I've had from RR.. This echo mesh Shirt is an awesome choice for anyone looking for a long lasting comfortable shirt You'll definitely get your money's worth Awesome for long distance hiking or thruhikers Washes easy and dries super fast Extremely venting and very comfortable

The ecomesh shirt is a longtime favorite in our household. They are perfect for hiking biking paddling and gardening. We were so happy to have these back in stock after years of them being discontinued. Im still hoping to see the womens version back on the market too.
