Cedar Mitchell

Biography:

Cedar was introduced to RailRiders by fellow Team member Chase Lewine during their two month journey across South America in 2013. Cedar is finishing up her degree at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, where she finds ample time to ski and backpack around her busy life researching infectious organisms.  Quite infected by the travel bug herself, Cedar has been all over South America and to Iceland, Romania, Turkey, and Australia earlier this year. When at home in the states she can be found running around Flagstaff, visiting Chase in Zion, exploring the Southwest’s canyon country, or cooking funky foods in her home. As one of our few female team members, Cedar is helping to design and test our new line of women’s clothing!

Earlier this year, Cedar went to Madagascar to work on plague research and is looking forward to doing similar research across the globe having completed her bachelor's degree.

What’s Next:
Cedar just graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, and will spend much of the summer with Chase in Zion (where he is a ranger), before heading to Missoula in August to work on her fancy new post-grad job.
